This is a rest painting from the Hope, Wander, and Rest series. This series came out of a place of pondering the many moments in our lives and how many can fall into one of these three categories. Our lives are always changing and moving—each moment growing off the last.. My goal was to work that out in these paintings in different ways with each section of the series. 

Rest is a deep inhale in. Rest is a good nap on Sunday afternoon in your favorite spot. Rest is sabbath. Rest requires you to slow down and enjoy the art of peace. In these pieces I thought a lot about rivers and drawing inspiration from their energy. Their refreshment, coolness, and flow.
